PEACOCK LANE opened in 2023 in a refurbished old Lime Kiln building which lay derelict for about 20 years. We set out to provide a top class fashionable restaurant, gastro pub and entertainment venue, for the growing historical town of Ballisodare and wider region, near the famous salmon fishery and opposite the HOLIDAY HOME OF WB YEATS. Our stylish comfortable restaurant caters for a wide range of diners, with an affordable menu of popular dishes providing for all palates, with vegetarian and gluten free options. This room also hosts late night functions, parties and special occasions.
We wanted to create a separate vibrant traditional bar in the older Kiln section of the building to maximise its heritage and beautiful stone work, typified by the amazing arch which is the focal point and a fine tribute to the skilled tradesmen of yesteryear. The bar counter was salvaged from a closed public house along with other fittings to make this a really attractive and cosy traditional bar where we serve the finest drinks, wines and cocktails along with our food offering.
We have a vast outdoor beer garden and al fresco dining areas for those hot summer days, which is very popular with our patrons, weather permitting! A gentle sea breeze blows up along the river and salmon estuary.
